Swedish-based ASSA ABLOY, a global leader in access solutions, has announced the acquisition of Classic Brass Inc., a US manufacturer specializing in premium cabinet and door hardware. The company is based in Jamestown, New York.
According to ASSA ABLOY, the acquisition aligns with its strategy to enhance its presence in mature markets by incorporating complementary products and solutions. Classic Brass, founded in 1996, employs approximately 80 people. The company reported sales of around $17 million in 2025 with a solid EBIT margin, and the transaction is expected to be accretive to earnings per share from the outset.
Classic Brass is recognized for its handcrafted, design-driven hardware, blending traditional craftsmanship with American manufacturing and customization capabilities. It will become part of the Residential Business Segment within ASSA ABLOY's Americas Division.
