Swedish lock manufacturer ASSA ABLOY announced the acquisition of Classic Brass Inc., a U.S.-based producer of premium cabinet and door hardware. The move is intended to bolster ASSA ABLOY's market presence with complementary products.
Founded in 1996 and located in Jamestown, New York, Classic Brass employs approximately 80 people. The company specializes in handcrafted, design-driven hardware, offering customized solutions to architects, designers, and homeowners. Its products are recognized for combining craftsmanship with personalization.
The acquisition aligns with ASSA ABLOY's strategy to enhance its portfolio in established markets. Classic Brass will become part of ASSA ABLOY's Americas division, specifically within its Residential Business Segment. The acquired company reported sales of approximately $17 million USD for 2025, with strong EBIT margins.
