ASSA ABLOY Highlights Sustainable Building Solutions

ASSA ABLOY has compiled highlights from its sustainability efforts presented during World Green Building Week, demonstrating a range of initiatives from small door components to large-scale energy production.

The SW300-S swing door operator was featured for its new ECO mode, which significantly reduces energy consumption during standby. ASSA ABLOY states this helps customers lower energy use without compromising convenience or performance.

Additionally, the company introduced its first low-carbon steel espagnolette in the Nordics. This component reportedly reduces climate impact by approximately 37% while maintaining performance, safety, and durability, allowing for a reduced environmental footprint in buildings.

Biosite, an ASSA ABLOY company, was highlighted for its circular economy solutions for construction sites, aiming to reduce waste and extend product lifecycles. The company also invested in on-site renewable energy by establishing a 4.5-megawatt solar power station at its Guli site in China, which is expected to lower emissions and energy costs.
