ASSA ABLOY Launches New Sliding Door Lock

ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions Australia has launched the Lockwood Pinnacle Sliding Door Lock, previously sold under the Interlock brand. The new lock is engineered to enhance the functionality and security of sliding doors, and it will replace the Lockwood Optimum Sliding Door Lock effective end of July 2025.

The Pinnacle lock features a single hookbolt security mechanism designed to prevent the door from being lifted off its track. It also includes an anti-slam mechanism to protect the hookbolt from damage during door closure. The lock is built to withstand a 4kN force entry load and 100,000 latching cycles.

As part of ASSA ABLOY's Euro Profile Mortice Lock catalogue, the Lockwood Pinnacle completes a suite of solutions for hinged, sliding, and bi-fold doors. It is compatible with other ASSA ABLOY CYL4™ 5-Pin locks for keyed alike convenience and is available in various backset sizes and configurations.

The Lockwood Optimum Sliding Door Lock will be obsoleted by July 2025, after which all orders will be converted to the Pinnacle model. The company is providing details on the phase-out of the older model and the ordering of the new.
