This trend is driven by stricter security mandates and the need to protect critical infrastructure.

Beyond government projects, technologies such as biometric access and mobile credentials are gaining traction for their ability to combine security with convenience and sustainability. Garcia highlighted a significant trend shifting towards contactless and seamless access experiences. While global markets are transitioning rapidly, adoption in the Middle East is progressing more gradually.

Although wired systems still dominate large residential projects, sectors like hospitality are moving faster towards wireless solutions due to their flexibility and faster deployment times. ASSA ABLOY's offerings in the region include SMARTair and Aperio wireless locking solutions, noted for their ease of integration and scalability.

The company has also been involved in major projects, such as the NEOM staff accommodation, where wireless access systems were integrated with BIM workflows for efficiency. Looking ahead, ASSA ABLOY plans to further expand into high-growth sectors including data centers, healthcare, and residential developments. Investments will focus on cybersecurity, mobile access technologies, and high-security door manufacturing to meet evolving customer needs.
