Assemblin Caverion Norway has acquired Åge Nilsen AS, a plumbing company employing approximately 60 individuals and generating NOK 170 million in annual net sales in 2024. The acquisition aligns with the group's growth strategy by strengthening Assemblin Caverion Norway's operations in the northern region.
Established in 1957 and headquartered in Tromsø, Åge Nilsen specializes in large construction projects. The company holds a significant market position within the defense and aquaculture sectors.
"We already offer services in Tromsø and Harstad under the Caverion brand, and Åge Nilsen complements us with their focus on the project market. Together, we have a complete offering in a key region," stated Torkil Skancke Hansen, CEO of Assemblin Caverion Norway. He added that Åge Nilsen had been a target for several years due to its status as the largest and most established company in the area.
Tor Torbergsen, CEO of Åge Nilsen AS, highlighted the company's extensive experience in large construction projects, particularly its role as a primary plumbing contractor for defense construction in Northern Norway. He also noted significant projects in healthcare facilities, such as the Narvik and Hammerfest hospitals, and expressed readiness to support defense development and other major construction assignments.
The transaction is subject to approval from the Norwegian competition authority.
