Assystem Selected for JET Fusion Facility Decommissioning Framework
Assystem has been selected for the UK Atomic Energy Authority's (UKAEA) JET fusion facility decommissioning and repurposing framework. The four-year agreement covers the next phase of the facility's lifecycle.

Assystem has secured a position on the UK Atomic Energy Authority's (UKAEA) Joint European Torus (JET) Decommissioning and Repurposing (JDR) multi-supplier Management Support Framework. The four-year agreement covers the next stage of the facility's operational life.
The 40-year operation of the JET fusion experiment recently concluded, having achieved numerous world records in fusion science research. The JDR programme now marks the next phase, scheduled to run until approximately 2040. This programme will support current and future fusion initiatives both within the UK and internationally.
Through the JDR Management Support Framework, Assystem will provide multidisciplinary expertise to UKAEA's Tier 1 management organisation, enabling leadership and delivery of the associated programme of works. Initial support will include site-based technical leadership for safe, compliant, and efficient engineering solutions for nuclear decommissioning through pre-construction and construction phases. Assystem will also provide digital expertise for the design and governance of document and information management solutions.
