AstaReal AB appoints Phoung Pihlträd as Head of Quality and Sustainability

AstaReal AB has appointed Phoung Pihlträd as its new Head of Quality and Sustainability. Pihlträd brings experience from the pharmaceutical and food sectors, with a background in process validation and product development. She succeeds long-time employee Kurt Haglund.

In her role, Pihlträd will oversee quality management across the company's full production cycle, which ranges from microalgae cultivation to the creation of finished health supplements. Her responsibilities include ensuring compliance with international regulatory standards and stakeholder expectations while driving operational improvements.

CEO Daniel Flodqvist noted that Pihlträd’s interdisciplinary background is expected to assist the company in maintaining its scientific focus while optimizing its manufacturing processes. The leadership transition marks a strategic step in evolving AstaReal's established internal procedures.
