AstaReal AB's Membralife Omegia Wins Award at Vitafoods Europe
AstaReal AB's sea buckthorn oil Omegia has won an award in the Healthy Ageing Ingredient category at the Vitafoods Europe Innovation Awards for its documented effects on menopausal symptoms.
AstaReal AB's sea buckthorn oil, Omegia, featured in the Membralife product range, has secured first place in the Healthy Ageing Ingredient category at the Vitafoods Europe Innovation Awards 2026.
The jury highlighted Omegia's clinical documentation for menopausal symptoms and skin health, as well as its innovative omega-7 free fatty acid formulation. Clinical studies have indicated improvements in skin hydration, elasticity, and mucosal health without hormonal impact.
The Membralife range, developed by AstaReal AB in collaboration with ingredient supplier Puredia, includes a dietary supplement and a serum, both containing Omegia. The company emphasized its commitment to working with partners who uphold high standards in research, documentation, and raw material quality.
The awards are presented annually at Vitafoods Europe, a major international event for nutraceuticals and dietary supplements. AstaReal AB views the award as reflecting a growing interest in scientifically documented ingredients for women's health and healthy aging.
