Astell&Kern unveiled its new flagship Hi-Fi player, the SP4000T, during a launch event in Dalian.
The player features a polished 904L stainless steel front and a PVD-coated ceramic back, with a diamond-cut volume wheel.
Internally, the SP4000T houses four Raytheon JAN6418 military-grade retro vacuum tubes. It utilizes an independent dual-tube design for each channel, which Astell&Kern states is the first in a portable device to deeply integrate the sound characteristics of vacuum tubes.
Additionally, the SP4000T offers a "Triple Tube Mode" system, providing up to 54 amplification combinations to suit various music preferences. It continues to use the AK4191EQ and AK4499EX DAC modules from the SP4000, maintaining a high signal-to-noise ratio and low distortion.
The SP4000T is priced at 22,888 yuan and targets audiophiles seeking a unique portable listening experience.
