Astoria Resort Seefeld becomes Alpin Resort Sacher Seefeld-Tirol

The Astoria Resort Seefeld, located in Seefeld, Austria, will be rebranded as Alpin Resort Sacher Seefeld-Tirol effective September 15. This strategic move signifies the Sacher Group's entry into the resort hotel sector, expanding its portfolio beyond its established city hotels.

Family-owned since 1950 and managed by Elisabeth Gürtler since 2015, the Astoria Resort Seefeld is a five-star superior property situated on the Seefeld high plateau at 1,200 meters. The resort spans 20,000 square meters and has undergone significant renovations and expansions. It features an approximately 4,700 square meter wellness area, a gourmet restaurant, and 81 suites and rooms decorated in an elegant alpine style.

Elisabeth Gürtler, whose parents originally purchased the Astoria, will continue to manage the Alpin Resort Sacher Seefeld-Tirol alongside General Manager Anton Gustav Birnbaum and their team. She described the decision to develop the Astoria into a Sacher resort as a joint family decision, highlighting the substantial investments made to align the property with the Sacher Group's high standards.

The Sacher Group, operated by the Gürtler and Winkler families, is renowned for its luxury hotels in Vienna and Salzburg. With the Alpin Resort Sacher, the company is broadening its business scope and exploring new opportunities within the resort hotel segment, while maintaining the core Sacher values of attention to detail, a family atmosphere, and uncompromising quality.
