ASUR reports 2.7% decrease in passenger traffic for Q2 2026
Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (ASUR) announced its second quarter 2026 results, reporting a 2.7% year-over-year decline in total passenger traffic. The decrease was primarily driven by lower traffic in Mexico and Puerto Rico.
Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (ASUR), which operates airports in Mexico, the United States, and Colombia, announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2026. Total passenger traffic decreased by 2.7% compared to the same period in 2025.
The decline was largely influenced by a 5.0% reduction in passenger traffic in Mexico and a 3.5% decrease in Puerto Rico. These decreases were partially offset by a 3.6% increase in traffic in Colombia.
Total revenues for the quarter rose by 9.9% to Ps.9,579.0 million. This figure includes Ps.443.8 million in revenues from ASUR US Commercial Airports, LLC, acquired in December 2025, which did not contribute to revenues in the second quarter of 2025.
Consolidated EBITDA saw an 8.7% decrease year-over-year, falling to Ps.4,589.9 million. The company reported cash and cash equivalents of Ps.11,641.4 million, with a net debt-to-last twelve months EBITDA ratio of 0.9x.
