Asurion, a provider of connected life services, has been recognized for its achievements in enterprise data warehousing. The Technology for Data Decisions (TDWI) awarded Asurion its 2017 Best Practices Award in the Enterprise Data Warehouses category in July 2017.

The award highlights Asurion's development of a centralized hybrid cloud access model, implemented using Denodo's data virtualization platform. This solution enabled the company to provide more personalized customer service and supported its global operational expansion. TDWI evaluates nominations based on business impact, maturity, innovation, and industry relevance.

Naveen Avalareddy, senior principal architect at Asurion, expressed honor for the award. "With strategic investments in data science, predictive analytics, and other modern methods for gaining data intelligence, it is even more critical that we secure all user data and provide proper access controls, encryption and data governance," Avalareddy stated.

To deliver its new smart tech support service, Asurion needed strong predictive analytics, IoT capabilities, and big data architecture support. The company aimed to accelerate the deployment of infrastructure, services, and products while adhering to strict data migration restrictions and regulatory compliance.

Asurion received the award at the TDWI Anaheim Conference on August 7, 2017.
