Asus Launches New 40Gbps External SSD Enclosure in ProArt Series
Asus has released the new ProArt PA40SU external SSD enclosure, supporting 40Gbps data transfer speeds via USB4. The device targets content creators and demanding users needing high-speed storage.
Tech company Asus has introduced a new external SSD enclosure, the ProArt PA40SU, offering a significant speed upgrade for data transfers. The device supports the USB4 protocol, enabling data transfer speeds of up to 40 gigabits per second. It is specifically aimed at content creators and professionals who require fast and reliable external storage solutions.
The new PA40SU enclosure is compatible with both NVMe and SATA standards and supports M.2 NVMe PCIe SSDs, including sizes 2280 and 2230. Cooling is managed by an integrated intelligent fan that automatically adjusts its speed based on load, ensuring stable SSD operation even during high transfer rates.
Asus has prioritized ease of use and design with the enclosure. It features a tool-free installation mechanism, simplifying the process of installing or replacing SSDs. The compact and lightweight design, with a thickness of only 13.5mm, makes the enclosure highly portable for both travel and mobile work scenarios.
Additionally, the ProArt PA40SU enclosure comes with ProArt SSD Dashboard management software. This software allows users to monitor SSD health status and usage data in real-time, providing a centralized solution for storage device management. The enclosure is set to go on sale on July 7th for 569 yuan (approximately $78 USD).
