Atlas Copco to Acquire Chinese Heating and Cooling Equipment Maker
Swedish industrial group Atlas Copco has agreed to acquire Guangdong Euroklimat Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Co., Ltd., a Chinese manufacturer of industrial heating and cooling solutions. The terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
Atlas Copco Group, the Swedish industrial conglomerate, has reached an agreement to acquire Guangdong Euroklimat Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Co., Ltd. based in China. The financial terms of the transaction were not immediately available.
Founded in 2009, Guangdong Euroklimat specializes in industrial heating and cooling solutions, with a focus on applications such as process cooling and energy conversion. The company operates manufacturing and assembly plants in Guangdong Province and Tianjin.
The acquisition is expected to enhance Atlas Copco's presence in the industrial cooling market, particularly within Asia, given Guangdong Euroklimat's established operations and sales offices in Southeast Asia. The deal aligns with Atlas Copco's strategy to expand its portfolio in complementary technologies.
Atlas Copco intends to integrate Guangdong Euroklimat's business into its existing structure. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and is anticipated to be finalized by the end of the year.
