Credit insurer Atradius released a handbook in September 2021 focusing on debt collection practices within Finland. Titled "Debt Collections Handbook Finland 2021," the report provides detailed information on local regulations and procedures for recovering debts.

Atradius utilized the expertise of its local Collections division in Finland to compile the guide. The publication covers topics such as legal procedures, lawsuits and associated costs, insolvency proceedings, and the timeframe and outcomes of collection processes.

The report also clarifies the charging of interest and collection costs to debtors in accordance with Finnish legislation. Atradius Collections stated its approach aims for a professional debt collection process that preserves client relationships, with the initial collection tier handled internally.
