ATS Energy Appoints New CTO and Expands Board to Scale Commercial Production

ATS Energy, a company developing solid-state generators to convert industrial thermal energy into electricity, has announced three senior leadership changes. The appointments occur as the Colorado-based firm shifts from its pilot phase toward repeatable manufacturing and commercial deployment across industrial sectors.

Ed Ganja, previously a technology executive at Shell, joins the company as Chief Technology Officer and a member of the Board of Directors. Ganja is tasked with overseeing the company’s engineering capabilities and guiding its technical roadmap as it scales production. His nearly two-decade tenure at Shell is expected to provide ATS with critical insight into the requirements of large-scale industrial operators.

Joining Ganja on the Board of Directors are Mike Kleinberg and Brandon Beehler. Kleinberg, currently CFO of Forge Nano, brings experience in capital-efficient manufacturing and financial strategy. Beehler, a professional engineer with a background in infrastructure investment and energy transition projects, will focus on aligning the company’s technology with the operational needs of heavy industrial facilities.

ATS Energy, which received the 2024 Earthshot Prize, is currently advancing its commercial strategy through a network of contract manufacturing partners. The company’s recent funding rounds and leadership expansion reflect its efforts to move beyond initial validation milestones into sustainable market integration.
