Audi has introduced its new A2 e-tron electric compact car at the Paris Motor Show, which opened to the public on October 13, 2026. While the vehicle had its initial debut in Paris on September 7, this marks its first public exhibition at an international auto show. In Germany, pre-orders began on September 10, with deliveries to the European market starting in December. The base price in Germany is set at €38,200.

The A2 e-tron is Audi's most energy-efficient production vehicle to date, boasting a WLTP energy consumption of 12.8 kWh per 100 kilometers. Its maximum range can extend up to 646 kilometers. The vehicle's aerodynamic design achieves a drag coefficient as low as 0.24, positioning its efficiency close to that of the Tesla Model 3 rear-wheel-drive variant.

The car features a 400V electrical architecture and offers three battery options with total capacities of 52, 61, and 84 kWh. The 50 kWh and 58 kWh versions utilize Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) cells, while the 79 kWh version employs Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) cells. The largest 84 kWh battery supports DC fast charging up to 183 kW, capable of charging from 10% to 80% in approximately 29 minutes. Charging times for the smaller batteries are slightly longer.

Powering the vehicle is a rear-wheel-drive setup with a rear-mounted electric motor, available in four power outputs ranging from 125 kW to 240 kW. The top-tier 240 kW model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds. The design of the A2 e-tron pays homage to the original A2 from 1999, though it is larger in dimensions. The interior prioritizes space and practicality, featuring a standard 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch central touchscreen.
