Audi A2 e-tron focuses on efficiency with lowest energy consumption
Audi has unveiled the new A2 e-tron electric model, featuring the brand's lowest energy consumption to date. Developed for the European market, the car's production utilizes existing factory structures.
Automaker Audi has introduced its new A2 e-tron electric model, emphasizing energy efficiency. The vehicle achieves an energy consumption of 12.8 kWh/100 km according to WLTP standards, marking the lowest figure for any series-production model in the company's history.
The A2 e-tron is designed to meet the needs of European customers, combining interior versatility with new digital services. Developed in Germany and manufactured at Audi's Ingolstadt plant, the company also highlighted internal process efficiencies, noting the model was developed significantly faster by intelligently leveraging existing production structures.
Order books for the A2 e-tron will open in fall 2026, with initial customer deliveries scheduled for December. "The A2 e-tron represents Audi's renewal. It shows how we are rethinking premium for Europe: using resources more intelligently without compromising on quality, technology, or customer experience," stated Audi CEO Gernot Döllner.
The model offers four power levels and three battery sizes. Its aerodynamic design boasts a drag coefficient of 0.24, the best in Audi's compact segment. Optional vehicle-to-load and vehicle-to-home bidirectional charging capabilities are also available.
