Audi A3 receives updated interior and driver assistance systems
Audi is updating its A3 model series with a redesigned interior featuring a panoramic display and enhanced driver assistance systems. The updates aim to increase digitalization and comfort.
Ingolstadt – Audi has announced an update for its A3 model series, introducing a redesigned interior centered around a new panoramic display and enhanced driver assistance systems. The updates apply to all A3 Sportback, Sedan, allstreet, S3, and RS 3 models.
The interior now features a curved display combining the 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit and a 12.8-inch MMI touch display. The dashboard design has been revised, and the center console includes a phone tray with 25-watt wireless charging. All steering wheels are equipped with a new scroll wheel integrated into the multifunction buttons and are available in three different designs.
The range of driver assistance systems has been expanded and is grouped into three packages: Tech, Tech plus, and Tech pro. The Adaptive cruise assist plus system combines adaptive cruise control with active lane guidance up to 210 km/h. A new feature allows the system to automatically brake for red lights and resume driving when the light turns green. The system also utilizes online data for lane guidance, assisting even without visible road markings.
Four surround-view cameras provide a 360-degree view of the vehicle's surroundings, aiding in parking and maneuvering. Park Assist Plus and Pro can detect parking lines and perform parking maneuvers automatically. The new remote parking function, Park Assist Pro, allows the driver to initiate and monitor the parking process via the myAudi app from outside the vehicle, which is particularly useful in tight parking spaces.
