Audi Delivered 1.7 Million Vehicles in 2024 Amid Model Overhaul
Automaker Audi delivered approximately 1.7 million vehicles globally in 2024, including over 164,000 fully electric models. The company cited challenging economic conditions and parts availability as reasons for a decline compared to the previous year.
Audi reported worldwide deliveries of approximately 1.7 million vehicles in 2024, marking a decrease of nearly 12 percent from the prior year. Fully electric vehicle deliveries also saw a decline of 8 percent, totaling just over 164,000 units.
The company attributed the lower delivery figures to a combination of challenging economic conditions, intense market competition, and limitations in parts availability. Furthermore, Audi's new product portfolio is only gradually contributing to global sales volumes.
"The year 2024 was part of a transitional phase as we move towards our new product portfolio," stated Audi CEO Gernot Döllner. He highlighted the company's ongoing model initiative, which aims to introduce over 20 new models in 2024 and 2025 to rejuvenate its lineup and strengthen its market position.
Among fully electric models, the Audi Q4 e-tron was a strong performer with nearly 108,000 deliveries globally, followed by the new Audi Q6 e-tron with almost 15,000 deliveries since its market launch. Other popular models included the Audi Q5, Audi A6, and Audi Q3. Audi Sport high-performance vehicles saw a decrease of about 14 percent in deliveries but achieved their best-ever result in the United States.
