Audi Updates Five Model Series with New Features
Audi is introducing new hardware and software updates across its A5, Q5, A6, A6 e-tron, and Q6 e-tron models. These enhancements aim to improve driving dynamics, driver assistance systems, and interior functionalities.

Automaker Audi has announced significant updates for five of its model series: the A5, Q5, A6, A6 e-tron, and Q6 e-tron. These changes, implemented at the start of the new model year, encompass both hardware and software improvements, intended to extend the lifecycle of the models and elevate the driving experience.
Fundamental Enhancements Across the Lineup
The updates are designed to make the driving experience more engaging, intuitive, and efficient. New features include improved driving dynamics controls, advanced driver assistance systems, and enhanced interior and infotainment functionalities. Audi is leveraging both its Premium Platform Electric (PPE) for electric vehicles and the Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) for combustion engine models in these updates.
Driving Dynamics and Efficiency
Audi models will receive a new "dynamic plus" drive select mode, offering a more intense driving experience, particularly for the S5 and S6 e-tron variants. Other driving enhancements include the quattro sport differential and brake torque vectoring, which improve handling and traction during spirited driving. For electric models, regenerative braking has been optimized, allowing vehicles to come to a stop without engaging conventional brakes while simultaneously boosting energy recovery.
Increased Safety and Comfort for the Driver
An advanced adaptive cruise assist system will now also support highway lane changes, provided the driver's hands remain on the steering wheel.
The system utilizes navigation data and camera input to recognize speed limits, stop signs, and traffic lights, automatically adjusting the vehicle's speed. The new systems can also identify road irregularities and share this information with other Audi vehicles via the backend, enhancing safety and comfort in various traffic scenarios.
