Aurora Advises Shareholders to Take No Action on Curaleaf's Bid

Aurora Cannabis (NASDAQ | TSX: ACB) has maintained its recommendation for shareholders to take no action at this time concerning Curaleaf's offer, citing that Curaleaf has yet to file a Notice of Variation and Change to revise its bid.

The company stated that once the revised offer is filed, Aurora's Special Committee will conduct a thorough review before issuing a formal recommendation to its shareholders. Aurora has also submitted an application to the Alberta Securities Commission.

Curaleaf's initial unsolicited bid was made in April and was valued at approximately $1.23 billion at the time. Aurora has previously characterized the offer as hostile and believes it undervalues the company.

This situation highlights ongoing industry consolidation efforts within the cannabis sector. Aurora aims to secure its long-term strategic and financial position amidst evolving market conditions.

Shareholders are urged to await further updates and the Special Committee's formal recommendation before making any decisions regarding Curaleaf's revised offer.
