Autel U.S. to Host Training on New Automotive HVAC Diagnostics

Autel U.S. has announced an advanced automotive HVAC and thermal management training event scheduled for October 30 in Port Washington, New York. The full-day program is open to automotive technicians and educators nationwide and will focus on the diagnostic capabilities of the new MaxiHVAC AC909 Advanced A/C Diagnostic System.

The training addresses the expanding role of thermal management systems in modern vehicles, which are crucial for regulating not only cabin comfort but also critical components like batteries and power electronics, especially in hybrid and electric vehicles. This contrasts with traditional HVAC diagnostics that primarily focus on refrigerant service and pressure readings.

The MaxiHVAC AC909 system aims to provide technicians with a comprehensive view of system operation. It integrates live vehicle data with refrigerant pressures, temperatures, humidity, airflow, and electrical measurements onto a single graphical analysis screen. Guided procedures are included to assist technicians in evaluating system performance, diagnosing components, and verifying repairs.

The event will be led by Gary DeLuca, Autel U.S. founder and developer of the AC909 system, alongside Gary Machiros of Applied Automotive Technology. The curriculum will cover advanced diagnostic strategies, pressure and temperature analysis, component diagnostics, and thermal management for hybrid and electric vehicles. The training will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn Roslyn, with tickets priced at $249.
