AutoFlight conducted its first air taxi flight demonstration in Astana during the 'Games of the Future 2026' event, showcasing advanced air mobility solutions.
Chinese aviation technology firm AutoFlight has completed its first air taxi flight demonstration in Astana, Kazakhstan. The flights took place during the 'Games of the Future 2026' event, where the company showcased its advanced solutions for a new era of air travel.
The demonstration flight was observed by various stakeholders, including Kazakhstani officials and potential partners. The company's participation highlighted its objective to expand internationally and solidify its position as a developer of advanced aerial systems.
AutoFlight previously entered into a strategic partnership agreement with Astana Aviation and Aerospace Group (AAAG) earlier this year. This agreement supports plans for the commercial deployment of the company's aviation solutions within the Kazakhstani market. The collaboration is expected to expedite regulatory approvals and the development of local infrastructure.
The company's electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft are designed to offer efficient and environmentally friendly transportation options in urban settings. Such demonstrations are crucial for securing public and regulatory acceptance.
AutoFlight will continue its testing and development program with the aim of obtaining air operator certification and commencing commercial operations in the future. The demonstrations in Kazakhstan are part of a broader global strategy.
