Automaker: Zhi Jie RX Design Prioritizes Safety Over Aesthetics
According to Chinese tech outlet IT Home, an executive stated the Zhi Jie RX's appearance is its least notable feature, emphasizing safety and technological advancement.
Chinese technology outlet IT Home reports that Zhao Changjiang, executive director and vice president of Zhi Jie Automobile, has described the exterior design of the new Zhi Jie RX as its least noteworthy aspect. He stressed that safety is the fundamental basis of the vehicle and that its technology is crafted to enhance the driving experience.
The Zhi Jie RX is positioned as a mid-to-large-sized all-electric coupe SUV, built on Huawei's technology platform. The vehicle features a robust "343" body structure, utilizing aluminum castings and high-strength steel for enhanced torsional rigidity. Material optimization, including the use of magnesium-aluminum alloys, aims to reduce weight while maintaining safety standards.
Beyond its structural integrity, the Zhi Jie RX boasts an advanced chassis with dual-chamber air suspension and continuously variable damping shocks for optimal handling and ride comfort. Its braking system, featuring six-piston calipers and ventilated discs, is claimed to offer a top-tier stopping distance for new energy SUVs in China.
The vehicle's interior includes intelligent seats equipped with pressure sensors for personalized comfort. It also features an architecture designed for L3-level autonomous driving. Notably, over 90% of pre-orders selected the version with the L3 autonomous driving system, including owners of luxury brands.
Zhao Changjiang stated the Zhi Jie RX was designed not to benchmark existing models, but to establish a new standard for the Chinese automotive industry through technological innovation and a high-value ecosystem.
