These figures represent new records for AutoNavi, a subsidiary of Alibaba Group. The company claims its app is the world's largest "spatial intelligence" application, integrating location data with real-time information to offer proactive services.
The company also showcased its Eagleye Guardian system, developed with the China Academy of Safety Science and Technology. The system analyzes traffic data to identify risks and issue early warnings. On October 1, the system issued over 600 million safety alerts, with the most frequent concerning slow vehicles ahead, sudden braking, and fast-approaching vehicles from behind.
Furthermore, AutoNavi reported that over 128 million users engaged with its "Street Scan" listing feature on the first day of the holiday. This feature ranks businesses based on real usage data, including navigation and search, offering various lists such as local favorites and specific merchant ratings.
