Chinese autonomous driving company Momenta has expanded its operations into the autonomous freight sector, utilizing vehicles referred to as Robovan. Reports indicate that Momenta's Robovan operations have been underway in Suzhou, China, for several months.
The expansion into autonomous logistics follows Momenta's recent listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The company has stated that its autonomous driving systems are integrated into over one million mass-produced vehicles, covering more than 100 different car models, with over 210 models currently designated for future integration. Momenta collaborates with major global automakers.
In parallel with its freight initiatives, Momenta has also been advancing its autonomous taxi (Robotaxi) services. The company received approval for L4-level Robotaxi road testing in Shenzhen earlier in July, adding to its testing operations in Shanghai, Suzhou, and Wuxi.
