AV-Comparatives Cybersecurity Test: 11 of 14 Firms Pass

Innsbruck, Austria – AV-Comparatives, a cybersecurity testing firm, announced on September 15, 2026, the results of its seventh annual Enterprise Security Product (EPR) Test. This year's evaluation focused on the ability of security solutions to defend against sophisticated attack methods developed using artificial intelligence.

Eleven out of the 14 participating companies successfully passed the rigorous test. The evaluation specifically assessed the resilience of these products against threats that leverage AI for automation, highlighting a critical area of development in cybersecurity as traditional defenses face evolving challenges.

The test's findings come amidst a landscape increasingly shaped by AI's role in cyber threats. For instance, in September 2025, Anthropic disrupted a state-linked group that had reportedly automated up to 90 percent of its operations using its Claude Code AI model. Such incidents underscore the growing need for advanced defensive capabilities.
