AV-TEST evaluates Windows repair software
AV-TEST has published results from its tests assessing software's ability to repair Windows PCs following malware attacks.

Security research firm AV-TEST has released comprehensive reports evaluating repair software for Windows operating systems. These tests focus on assessing how effectively various security solutions and tools can restore damaged Windows systems after malware, such as viruses and trojans, have attacked.
The reports, published between 2018 and 2020, have examined numerous security applications and specialized tools for their capacity to identify and remove malicious software, as well as repair corrupted operating system components. The tests simulated various attack scenarios to evaluate the software's performance in recovery efforts.
A specific study, released in February 2020, reviewed seven security solutions and four other tools designed to assist users after failed repair attempts or severe attacks. These tests aim to provide users with insights into which tools offer the most reliable assistance when facing computer issues.
AV-TEST's work provides consumers and businesses with valuable information regarding the actual effectiveness of security software. The test results help in selecting appropriate tools when computers are compromised by malware and require professional repair assistance.
