AV-TEST Releases Comprehensive Security Test Results
The German testing institute AV-TEST continues to publish its evaluations of various security solutions. Recent reports focus on areas including EDR systems, VPN services, and parental control software.

German cybersecurity testing firm AV-TEST is continuing to release independent test results for a range of security products. The organization, known for its thorough comparative analyses, has recently focused on Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) systems critical for corporate cybersecurity, as well as VPN services aimed at protecting user privacy online.
In February 2025, AV-TEST conducted a comparative study of VPN solutions commissioned by Kaspersky, with the goal of evaluating their performance and features. Prior to this, in November 2024, a comprehensive assessment of leading VPN services, including ExpressVPN, IPVanish VPN, Mullvad VPN, NordVPN, and Proton VPN, was carried out, specifically examining their advanced security features.
Further solidifying its diverse testing portfolio, AV-TEST also published a certification test for Kaspersky Safe Kids Premium in May 2024, assessing its effectiveness in monitoring children's digital environments. For the enterprise sector, the institute evaluated the EDR capabilities of Padvish XDR in a test concluded in November 2025.
AV-TEST's testing scope extends to numerous other areas, including antivirus software for Windows and MacOS, security solutions for Android devices, and Internet of Things (IoT) security. The firm's ongoing work aims to enhance digital security for both businesses and consumers through rigorous, independent evaluation.
