AV-TEST: TotalAV Android Security Meets Certification Standards
AV-TEST GmbH has released a new report evaluating TotalAV's security software for Android devices. The software met the required certification test criteria.
The independent IT-security research institute AV-TEST GmbH has released a new report assessing TotalAV's security product for the Android operating system. The test was commissioned by Protected.net and focused on the software's protection capabilities, performance, and usability.
AV-TEST found that TotalAV version 2.0.6, tested on Motorola Moto G6 Play devices running Android 8.0.0 in September and October 2020, had no impact on system performance. The usability assessment revealed no false alarms.
In terms of protection against widespread and critical real-time malware, TotalAV demonstrated a detection rate above the industry average.
The report concludes that TotalAV for Android meets the criteria for AV-TEST's standard Android certification. The full report is available for download as a PDF.
