Avatr Electric Vehicle to Feature Huawei ADS 5 System
Chinese automaker Avatr announced that a version of its Avatr 06T Elite dual-motor pure electric vehicle will soon be equipped with Huawei's ADS 5 advanced driver-assistance system.

Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Avatr announced on Tuesday that its Avatr 06T Elite model, in its dual-motor pure electric configuration, will soon be launched with Huawei's ADS 5 system.
The system integrates Huawei's Kunlun Limera technology, which includes in-cabin laser imaging and visual detection. The Avatr 06T Elite will be capable of identifying small obstacles, such as 30cm x 30cm cardboard boxes, with a stated maximum detection range of up to 116 meters.
Huawei's ADS 5 system, officially released in April, is designed for autonomous driving. It utilizes the WEWA 2.0 AI architecture, incorporating cloud-based multi-agent technology and reinforcement learning mechanisms. On the vehicle side, "safety risk field" technology is employed for real-time safety assessment, complemented by a "Driving Agent" module for optimizing driving task strategies.
Jin Yuzhi, CEO of Huawei's Smart Automotive Solutions BU, has previously stated that the ADS 5 is developed for autonomous driving. The integration into Avatr vehicles highlights the manufacturer's focus on advanced driver-assistance features within China's competitive EV market.
