Marvel's blockbuster "Avengers: Endgame" has returned to cinemas in China with an "Enhanced Edition" released on September 25. This re-release includes approximately four minutes of previously unseen material, featuring scenes intended to lay the groundwork for the upcoming "Avengers 5: Doomseeniin."
The film's total runtime is now 185 minutes, an increase from the original 2019 version's 181 minutes. The added scenes reportedly focus on character reunions, such as Loki and Captain America, Doctor Doom collecting Hulk figures, multiversal collisions, and Doctor Doom's origin.
These new elements are designed to build anticipation for "Avengers 5: Doomseeniin," slated for a December 2026 release. The film is directed by the Russo brothers, with reports suggesting Robert Downey Jr. may reprise his role as Doctor Doom.
Upon its initial release, "Avengers: Endgame" held the record for the highest-grossing film worldwide, earning approximately $2.79 billion globally. While its record has since been surpassed, the re-release offers fans a chance to revisit the film and gain insights into upcoming narrative directions.
