AVIC Cabin Systems strengthens FACC's interior division
AVIC Cabin Systems has been formed to consolidate expertise and expand the product portfolio for aircraft interiors globally. The alliance aims to enhance FACC AG's market presence in the aerospace cabin sector.
FACC AG announced in July 2018 the formation of AVIC Cabin Systems, a new strategic alliance aimed at consolidating and strengthening expertise and product offerings for aircraft interiors worldwide. The initiative seeks to enhance FACC's position within the global aerospace cabin market.
AVIC, the majority shareholder of FACC AG, is uniting several of its subsidiaries under this new holding structure. Alongside FACC, the alliance includes AIM Altitude, Thompson Aero Seating, Jiatai, and Fesher. This collective entity aims to provide a comprehensive range of aircraft cabin products, covering nearly all aspects of cabin interiors.
The formation of AVIC Cabin Systems is expected to open up new business avenues for FACC. The alliance will enable the group to offer complete cabin solutions, including galleys and seats, to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and airlines. This strategic move is anticipated to boost FACC's presence in both the OEM segment and direct airline customer relationships, particularly in the aftermarket services sector.
With production facilities spanning four continents—the Americas, Asia, Australia, and Europe—AVIC Cabin Systems is positioned for global reach. Robert Machtlinger, CEO of FACC AG, stated that the new structure will bolster FACC's OEM business and support the development and expansion of its aftermarket services, facilitating a worldwide service network.
