Avive Solutions will provide five Avive Connect AED units for Prisma Health's 36th Walk for Life & Famously Hot Pink 10K + 5K event in Columbia, South Carolina, on October 17, 2026.

Avive Solutions, a manufacturer of automated external defibrillators (AEDs), has announced its sponsorship of Prisma Health Midlands Foundation's 36th Walk for Life & Famously Hot Pink 10K + 5K. The event is scheduled to take place in Columbia, South Carolina, on October 17, 2026.
As part of the sponsorship, five Avive Connect AED units will be deployed along the event's course to ensure a faster and more coordinated response to potential cardiac emergencies. These devices will be available to protect participants, volunteers, and spectators. "Having these devices on hand will help ensure that should a cardiac emergency take place, our medical team is armed and ready with the latest technology to assist," said Jeffery Faw, Executive Director at Prisma Health Midlands Foundation.
The Avive Connect AED units are designed for rapid and confident use, featuring a touchscreen and real-time CPR guidance to assist responders. Weighing 2.1 pounds, it is described as the smallest and lightest FDA-approved AED on the market. The device also utilizes universal electrode pads suitable for both adults and children.
The Walk for Life & Famously Hot Pink 10K + 5K is a signature fundraising event for the Prisma Health Midlands Foundation, supporting breast cancer screening and care at Prisma Health Breast Centers. The event aims to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer initiatives. Proceeds from this year's event are earmarked for a new mobile mammography unit to expand access to care in the region.
