AVM clarifies usage terms for media assets and trademarks
Network equipment manufacturer AVM has formalized the terms under which media outlets may utilize its company imagery and brand assets for reporting.

AVM, the Berlin-based manufacturer behind the FRITZ! brand, has outlined the legal framework governing the use of its proprietary media assets. The agreement applies to journalists and publishers utilizing photographs, videos, and trademarks to report on the company's network products.
Under the terms, licensees are granted a non-transferable, royalty-free right to use company materials strictly in connection with news coverage of AVM products. The policy explicitly prohibits altering logos or imagery and requires strict adherence to corporate design guidelines to prevent public confusion regarding brand affiliation. Users are also barred from implying any endorsement or partnership beyond standard product reporting.
The agreement shifts legal responsibility for improper usage to the user, who must indemnify AVM against third-party claims. The license is valid for a one-year term from the date of initial use, after which it automatically expires.
