AVM Presents New FRITZ! Products at IFA 2024
AVM showcased new FRITZ! devices at IFA 2024 in Berlin, focusing on fiber connectivity, 5G, Wi-Fi 7, WLAN Mesh systems, and smart home solutions.
German technology firm AVM used IFA 2024 in Berlin to unveil a range of new FRITZ! products. The company highlighted advancements in fiber optic technology, 5G mobile connectivity for home use, Wi-Fi 7 networking, WLAN Mesh systems, and smart home applications.
For fiber connections, AVM introduced new FRITZ!Box models, including the FRITZ!Box 5690 XGS designed for 10 Gbit/s speeds, alongside the FRITZ!Box 5690 and FRITZ!Box 4690 for GPON and AON interfaces. These, combined with the FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro, offer consumers diverse options for fast and future-proof fiber internet. All new fiber models support the latest Wi-Fi 7 standard.
The company also presented the FRITZ!Box 6860 5G, a device enabling high-speed internet via 5G mobile networks, supporting up to 1.3 Gbit/s. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor use and also functions as a Wi-Fi 6-compliant Mesh access point.
Expanding its wireless offerings, AVM introduced two new Wi-Fi 7 compatible repeaters, the FRITZ!Repeater 2700 and FRITZ!Repeater 1700. Additionally, AVM launched new FRITZ!Mesh Set 4200 and FRITZ!Mesh Set 1600 bundles aimed at simplifying the expansion of wireless network coverage within homes.
In the smart home sector, AVM unveiled the FRITZ!Smart Energy 250, a new power sensor for monitoring and optimizing energy consumption. The company also announced a rebranding of its smart home products from FRITZ!DECT to FRITZ!Smart, while maintaining their established technical quality and ease of use. A preview of the upcoming FRITZ!OS 8 update was also provided, promising over 60 new features and improvements for existing FRITZ! products.
