AVM Unveils New FRITZ! Products at IFA 2024
AVM presented new networking devices for fiber, 5G, Wi-Fi 7, WLAN Mesh, and smart home technology at IFA 2024 in Berlin. The company is expanding its fiber optic offerings with new, faster FRITZ!Box models.

German networking hardware manufacturer AVM unveiled a range of new FRITZ! products at IFA 2024, focusing on high-speed network technologies and home network expansion. The company highlighted advancements in fiber optic, 5G mobile networks, Wi-Fi 7 standard, and smart home solutions.
For fiber connections, AVM introduced the new FRITZ!Box 5690 XGS, FRITZ!Box 5690, and FRITZ!Box 4690 models. Notably, the FRITZ!Box 5690 XGS supports speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s. All presented fiber models also leverage the new Wi-Fi 7 standard, enhancing wireless network performance.
In the realm of 5G connectivity, the company announced the FRITZ!Box 6860 5G. This device enables high-speed internet access via mobile networks, supporting 5G and LTE with download speeds up to 1.3 Gbit/s. It also features an integrated DECT base station for telephony and smart home applications.
To improve wireless network coverage, AVM launched two new Wi-Fi 7-compatible repeaters: the FRITZ!Repeater 2700 and FRITZ!Repeater 1700. Additionally, the company expanded its WLAN Mesh offerings with the new FRITZ!Mesh Set 4200 and FRITZ!Mesh Set 1600 packages designed to extend home wireless networks.
Smart home innovations include the FRITZ!Smart Energy 250 energy monitoring sensor and the rebranded FRITZ!Smart product family, which encompasses previous FRITZ!DECT devices. AVM also previewed the upcoming FRITZ!OS 8 update, promising additional features and improvements for home network management.
