German network equipment manufacturer AVM has unveiled three new FRITZ!Box router models at the Network X industry event in Paris. These new devices are designed to enhance home network performance and future-proofing.

The FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro is positioned as a premium model, suitable for both fiber and DSL connections. It supports the latest Wi-Fi 7 standard, offering tri-band capabilities and improved speed and stability for wireless communication. The device also integrates Zigbee support for smart home devices, in addition to its existing DECT ULE compatibility.

For cable networks, AVM presented the FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable, which brings Wi-Fi 7 capabilities to cable connections. This model includes a 2.5 Gigabit LAN port and four 1 Gigabit LAN ports, along with Zigbee support.

A new option for DSL users is the FRITZ!Box 7682, which supports the G.fast standard, enabling speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s over existing DSL lines. All three new models also incorporate AVM's Mesh technology for seamless network expansion and management.

AVM stated that these new FRITZ!Box models address the growing demand for faster and more reliable home internet connections, ensuring compatibility with future devices and evolving network standards.
