Hamburg – Jahreszeiten Verlag GmbH's magazine AW Architektur & Wohnen has launched a new special edition titled "The Best of 2023". The publisher describes this as the first dedicated standalone issue, carefully curated by the editorial team to offer an outlook on the upcoming year's highlights in design, architecture, culture, and gardens.
The publication focuses on European cities and regions delivering unique architectural works, design visions, and art in 2023. It also lists key festivals, exhibitions, and exceptional events of the year, alongside new museums and boutique hotels to visit. Specific features include Scandinavian design, architecture in Venice, and garden culture on the Côte d'Azur. The edition also introduces Timișoara, Romania, as the European Capital of Culture for 2023, and includes a comprehensive European service guide.
Editor-in-Chief Karen Hartwig stated that the special edition aims to provide inspiration and an overview for consumers seeking enjoyable experiences and positive energy, particularly during challenging times. It is intended to serve as a coffee table magazine, a gift, or a token of appreciation.
The "The Best of 2023" special edition has a print run of 50,000 copies and has been available in stores since December 6, 2022, priced at 11.90 euros.
