AWS Integrates with Kiro to Accelerate Troubleshooting
Amazon Web Services is launching an integration with the Kiro troubleshooting tool to speed up issue resolution for distributed applications. The new feature combines AWS observability data with AI.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced a new integration with the Kiro troubleshooting tool, aimed at accelerating problem resolution for distributed applications. The new feature, named AWS Observability as a Kiro power, seeks to simplify and streamline the process of identifying and fixing issues in complex, modern systems.
Traditionally, troubleshooting distributed applications involves correlating signals across multiple sources, including alarms, traces, logs, and deployment events. This often requires engineers to navigate across various consoles and tools, a process that can be time-consuming and lead to delays in resolving critical incidents. The new integration is designed to mitigate this complexity.
By connecting Kiro with five AWS services โ CloudWatch, CloudWatch Application Signals, CloudTrail, Amazon Managed Prometheus, and AWS Documentation โ the tool gains deep insights into application performance and behavior. Kiro leverages its AI capabilities to analyze this data and provide answers to natural language queries, such as "What alarms are firing?" or "Show me traces with high latency."
AWS states that this integration aims to reduce the mean time to resolution (MTTR) and improve customer experience. Instead of manually gathering information from disparate dashboards, teams can now receive correlated, contextualized answers directly from Kiro, enabling faster identification of root causes.
