Axfood Appoints Nominating Committee for 2027 Annual General Meeting

Swedish retail company Axfood has appointed the members of the Nominating Committee ahead of its 2027 Annual General Meeting (AGM). This committee plays a crucial role in preparing proposals regarding the composition of the company's board of directors and its chairman for the AGM.
The committee's members are appointed by the four largest shareholders in terms of voting rights, based on their holdings as of the last banking day in July of the year preceding the AGM. If any of these major shareholders decline to participate, the company will invite subsequent shareholders until a committee of at least three members is formed.
In line with common practice for publicly listed companies in Sweden, the Nominating Committee's primary task is to present its recommendations for the board's composition to the upcoming AGM. This process aims to ensure the board possesses the necessary expertise and experience to effectively govern Axfood.
