Axians and EUROVIA Recognized by EWE with Innovation Award
Axians and EUROVIA have received the "EWE – Funkensprung 2021" innovation award. The prize acknowledges their contributions in the categories of "Services & Services" and "Climate & Sustainability".
IT service provider Axians and construction company EUROVIA have been honored with the "EWE – Funkensprung 2021" innovation award by the EWE Group. The award recognizes their joint development work.
The companies were recognized for their collaborative efforts in integrating technologies such as digital twins, geographic information systems, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and augmented reality. This integration allows for the visualization of underground utility lines via mobile devices.
The implemented solution aims to optimize the operation of excavators and other construction machinery, thereby reducing the risk of damage to underground infrastructure. This enhancement contributes to increased safety for on-site teams and surrounding communities, and helps prevent potential utility failures and power outages. The technology is already being deployed on construction sites.
