Chinese technology firm AYANEO announced that its retro-themed KONKR Pocket Advance handheld console surpassed 12,000 units sold in its initial sales phase. The device officially launched on August 5.
The handheld gaming device entered the market with a starting price of 499 yuan (approximately $69 USD). Two configurations were offered: a 3GB RAM/32GB storage model priced at 499 yuan, and a 4GB RAM/64GB storage model at 599 yuan (approximately $83 USD).
KONKR Pocket Advance features a 3.5-inch 3:2 LCD display with a 960 x 640 resolution. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G90T processor and includes an active cooling system with a fan. The device is equipped with a 4000mAh battery.
AYANEO specializes in handheld gaming devices, and the KONKR Pocket Advance targets the retro gaming segment within the Android ecosystem. The strong initial sales suggest consumer interest in dedicated devices for emulating older games.
