AZP Insurance Specialists has awarded Platinum certification to Gateless Smart Underwrite®, an AI-driven mortgage underwriting solution. The certification utilizes a new framework for AI trust and insurance-backed risk management.
PHOENIX, Arizona – AZP Insurance Specialists has certified Gateless Smart Underwrite®, an AI-driven mortgage underwriting solution, under its new AI and insurance-backed risk management framework. The certification aims to enhance trust and adoption of AI technologies within the mortgage underwriting process.
The certification framework developed by AZP is based on decades of experience in mortgage risk, warranties, and claims handling. It is designed to independently evaluate AI and technology providers serving mortgage production. Qualifying technologies may also gain access to separately underwritten insurance protection covering specific representation-and-warranty risks and potential repurchase losses.
Gateless is the first technology provider to be certified under AZP's framework, achieving the highest level, Platinum. This recognition reflects Gateless's governance, controls, auditability, operational maturity, and risk management infrastructure. Notably, over 230,000 loans manufactured using Gateless's Smart Underwrite® have been sold by lenders without a single claim.
