North American mining company Aztec Minerals announced on Wednesday that Mark O'Dea has been appointed as the company's new Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors. The appointment is effective immediately.

O'Dea is a seasoned mining professional with over 30 years of experience in mineral exploration and mining operations. He has previously held senior management positions at various mining companies, including Euro Pacific Metals and U.S. Gold Corp.

Aztec Minerals Chairman Joe Kadar stated that O'Dea's experience will be invaluable to the company's ongoing growth initiatives. "Mark's extensive background in exploration and mine development makes him an ideal leader for Aztec Minerals as we advance our significant projects," Kadar said.

The company is focused on exploring and developing mineral deposits in North America. Aztec Minerals' key projects include the Tombstone East project in Arizona, USA, which holds potential gold and silver deposits.

O'Dea commented on his appointment, stating he is excited about the opportunity to lead Aztec Minerals. "I look forward to working with the team to identify and develop valuable mineral resources," he said.
