Aztec Minerals Expands Gold-Silver Zone at Tombstone Project

Vancouver, British Columbia – Aztec Minerals Corp. has announced new drilling results from its Tombstone project in Arizona. The company stated that five reverse circulation (RC) drill holes are expanding the northern portion of the Contention Zone to the west and at depth.

Hole TR26-19 intercepted 66.9 meters averaging 1.05 gpt gold and 23.21 gpt silver, including a 27.4-meter interval grading 2.31 gpt gold and 43.23 gpt silver. The company noted that multiple drill holes ended in mineralization, suggesting the zone continues.

According to Aztec Minerals, all five reported RC drill holes have intersected and expanded portions of the Contention target area to the west and to depth. The drilling program includes 17,000 meters, of which 70 RC holes and 8 core holes have been completed. An additional nine drill holes are awaiting final analysis.

Aztec Minerals CEO Simon Dyakowski commented that the results represent a step towards a significant expansion of the project. He believes the Tombstone deposit may be a much larger gold-silver system than the historically narrower footprint, remaining open in multiple directions.
