Aztec Minerals Reports Gold and Silver Intercepts at Tombstone Project
Aztec Minerals Corp. has reported initial results from its 2024 surface exploration program at the Tombstone project in Arizona. New surface samples confirm broad gold and silver mineralization within the project's Contention Pit area.

Vancouver, Canada – Aztec Minerals Corp. announced on June 24, 2024, initial assay results from its 2024 surface exploration program at the Tombstone project in Arizona. Surface samples collected from the Contention Pit area confirm the presence of widespread gold and silver mineralization, aligning with drilling results from 2020-2023.
Notable intercepts include 30.2 meters averaging 3.72 grams of gold and 167.93 grams of silver per tonne (5.82 gpt AuEq) from channel line B4. This interval includes a 6-meter section grading 13.15 gpt gold and 602.67 gpt silver (20.68 gpt AuEq).
Other channel sampling results from the Contention Pit include 50.0 meters averaging 0.827 gpt gold and 54.08 gpt silver (1.50 gpt AuEq) from line G1, and 42.3 meters averaging 0.46 gpt gold and 47.27 gpt silver (1.05 gpt AuEq) from line C1.
The preliminary findings provide a roadmap for identifying potential new zones of mineralization, particularly in the western portions of the project. Aztec Minerals is awaiting further assay results and aims to enhance its geological model of the extensive, mesothermal, oxide gold and silver mineralization at Contention Pit.
