Aztec Minerals Reports New Mineralization at Tombstone Project

Aztec Minerals, a mineral exploration company, has reported encouraging new drill results from its Tombstone copper-silver project located in Cochise County, Arizona. The company announced on Thursday that recent drilling in the eastern portion of the property has intersected significant gold and silver mineralization, extending known zones and suggesting broader geological potential.

The latest assay results are from the East Pit area, where drill holes RB-21-07 and RB-21-08 were completed. According to the company's press release, these holes encountered mineralization that exceeded expectations, hitting higher grades of both silver and gold than previously anticipated for this section of the deposit.

These findings provide further support for Aztec Minerals' geological model, which posits a larger, more extensive mineral system at Tombstone than currently defined. The company stated that the results enhance the project's economic viability and open pathways for resource expansion.

Aztec Minerals intends to continue its active drilling program to delineate the full extent of the mineralization. CEO Brian Heard commented that the company is focused on expanding the current resource estimate and identifying new target areas within the project's concessions. Future drilling will target areas where preliminary data suggests the potential for further significant mineral discoveries.
